Modern meeting rooms often fail for two simple reasons: the room only works with one meeting platform, and sharing content still feels harder than it should.

Mago changes that, but only once it's properly deployed.

Neat makes this deployment extremely clean through Neat Pulse and App Hub, allowing administrators to centrally enable and push applications directly to devices. This guide walks through the full process from admin authorization to device enrollment to app deployment to launch.

πŸ–₯ Supported Neat Devices

Mago currently runs on the following Neat hardware:

  • Neat Board Pro
  • Neat Board 50
  • Neat Board 32
  • Neat Frame
  • Neat Bar Pro
  • Neat Bar Gen 2
  • Neat Pad / Neat Pad Pro (Controller mode)

πŸ“‹ Before You Start

You will need:

  • πŸ”‘ Neat Pulse admin access
  • πŸ“„ A Mago license
  • πŸ“‘ A Neat device enrolled in your organization
  • πŸ”„ Ability to factory reset the device (if already configured for Teams or Zoom)
A Neat device configured for Microsoft Teams or Zoom cannot run Mago until it is switched to App Hub mode ("Other").

Step 1 β€” Enable Mago in Neat Pulse

This authorizes the application for your entire organization.

Log into Neat Pulse

Select Apps in the left navigation menu

Locate Mago in the application list

Toggle the app ON

At this point Mago becomes available to assign to devices.

Step 2 β€” Enroll the Device in App Hub Mode ("Other" Platform)

This is the most important step. If skipped, the app will never appear on the device.

Generate Enrollment Code

  1. In Neat Pulse, go to Devices > Add Device
  2. Enter room name
  3. Save the Enrollment Code

Factory Reset the Neat Device (if needed)

If the device is currently a Teams Room or Zoom Room:

On the Neat device: Settings > System > Factory Reset

Enroll into App Hub Mode

During the out-of-box setup:

  1. Enter your Enrollment Code
  2. When prompted for platform, select "Other"

Selecting "Other" activates Neat App Hub mode. This enables third-party apps like Mago.

Step 3 β€” Deploy the Mago App to the Device

Now you push the app remotelyβ€”no USB installs, no sideloading.

Go to Neat Pulse > Devices

Select your room device

Open the Apps section

Toggle Mago ON

The device will automatically download and install the application. Installation typically completes within a few minutes.

Step 4 β€” Launch Mago on the Neat Device

Once installation completes:

On the Neat screen, tap Launch Neat Apps

Tap the Mago icon

Log in or pair the room using your Mago credentials

Your meeting room is now ready.

βœ… What This Changes in the Meeting Room

After deployment, the room is no longer locked to a single platform.

Users can now:

  • βœ” Join meetings across platforms
  • βœ” Wirelessly present from any OS (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, ChromeOS)
  • βœ” Collaborate without switching room modes
  • βœ” Avoid HDMI adapters and dongles
  • βœ” Keep a consistent user experience in every room

⚠️ Common Deployment Mistake

If Mago does not appear on the device:

99% of the time, the device was not enrolled in "Other" mode.

You must factory reset and re-enroll correctly.
